How to make a Toy car.
On a Saturday morning in June 2005, i was chilling with my friend Evans, next to a lake situated in Brockton MA. This was one of the most unforgeable day. As it was the beginning of summer, we could already see everyone out to get a good walk and enjoy the beautiful weather outside. Kids were feeding birds everywhere next to the lac.
Evans and i were throwing rocks in the water and see who could have done the best records by making the rocks bounce at least five times. As we got bored in an hour, and were figuring out what to do for the rest of the day. By this time,we needed to have money for the vacation, since we didn't have any job.
A brilliant idea flashed in my head; that was how to make a toy car, if we could succeed on our first one, we could make plenty more and start selling them to some of the kids that lived in our neighborhood. Making a Toy car wasn't a big deal for us, the major point were to find the exact material to make it. Our first thought was to find a box to make it the body of the car and some substances that can serves as a wheel, so the car would slide or ride itself in someways. We first choose a box that we placed on our work surface. We also used a sharp pencil to poke four holes in the sides of the box for the axle to go through.Poke two holes at the front and back of one long side. Poke two more holes opposite of the first on the other long side of the box. We Slide one unsharpened pencil through one set of holes, and a second through the second set of holes. Wiggle the pencils around a little to make the holes large enough so the pencil can turn freely.
We also Put a medium sized dot of hot glue on the inside of one of the bottle caps. Put the bottle cap onto the pencil. Firmly hold the cap in place until the glue is dry. Repeat for the other three wheels, then Attach the fifth bottle cap to the front of the opening on the top of the box for the steering wheel.Paint the car with craft or acrylic paints (any colors that would fit on your taste). Draw racing stripes on the car with different colored permanent markers. Paint the wheels black, and then color a silver hub cap on each wheel with a permanent marker.
Here goes the Toy car, and we actually succeed in our work; this was one of the best summer we ever had.
